Dear Competition participants and Astana guests,

We are glad to welcome you to the 3rd International Ballet Competition in Astana. This is the third Competition, which takes place in the capital. Every year the Competition geographic reach expands and the number of participants grows. Astana is proud of this opportunity to welcome young and talented dancers from all over the world, as well as distinguished members of the Jury - authoritative experts in the field of the ballet art.

It is no secret that dance is the universal language of international communication, which everyone can understand. Today we are pleased to state that Kazakh ballet is well-known in the world and our dancers win prizes at the most prestigious ballet competitions. There are good grounds for that: historically, Kazakh ballet has absorbed the best traditions of the St. Petersburg and Moscow schools of classical dance and these schools have been highly appreciated throughout the ballet world to this day.

I think it is time to make every effort so that the young Kazakhstani capital carve out a significant place on the competitive map of the ballet world and attract young talents to compete in an honest competition of mastery and professional skills.

I am sure that the International Ballet Competition in Astana will be a good beginning for many talented dancers from all over the world, and new rising stars of the world ballet will appear here!

I wish all the competition participants good luck and success and to all art lovers – unique and indelible impressions!

Dear Astana guests and participants of 3rd International Ballet Competition,

I cordially greet you and congratulate on the opening of the brightest cultural event that will gather the best representatives of the ballet art in the capital of Kazakhstan!

In spite of its short history, the International Ballet Competition in Astana has been already named as one of the most prestigious professional contests and a world-scale event.

Certainly, any competition is success for one competitor and failure for another. Without regard to it, I would like to wish all the competitors to enjoy participating and to be able to convey the joy of dancing both to the audience and to the Jury. By the way, all the members of the Jury are people, who are super professional prepared and trained, who have passed the long way of formation, therefore they, like nobody else, will perfectly understand the competition participants and will look at them with kindness in their eyes!

These three days will be filled with agitation, unbelievable tension and passionate desire to win. I hope that the competitors will feel comfortable in this creative atmosphere, which will help them to work easily. And the Astana Opera House will meet you with the hospitality inherent to the East!

I do not doubt that the Competition will present the audience with a great number of unforgettable moments. I wish the Competition guests to have indelible impressions, and I wish the participants inspiration, success and deserved victories!”.
